The Creative’s Walk of Shame
Vintage dealers, junkers, creatives — gather round. You know that moment when you said “I’m not buying anything else”… and then you absolutely did? Same. Let me tell you about my January 7.
Y’all! So at the end of 2025 I told myself:
“Girl, you are NOT buying anything new in 2026 until you organize your inventory.”
Fast forward to January 7 and I did a buyout of another vendor’s booth.
The math is not mathing, but here we are! About a dozen pieces of furniture and almost 500 square feed of inventory stacked and piled in every nook and corner.

Instead of spiraling, I’m officially starting my REAL inventory reset with these steps:
Review → Eliminate → Act → Label to Sell
January 7th was Day 1, so I was only in the Review stage. No panic, just sorting and facing the piles head-on.

BUT plot twist…
A thrift shop manager from another town randomly came into the store today. Their charity helps build homes for veterans, and when I mentioned I had items to donate…
I offered up multiple boxes I was planning to take to their store 45 minutes away! They loaded as much as they could fit into their tiny car.
Which means:
✔️ Donations went to a great cause
✔️ I skipped a thrift store run
✔️ Inventory already shrinking
Progress, not perfection…
God moments like this remind me that when I start moving in obedience—even imperfectly—He shows up in ways I didn’t plan. What could’ve been another chore turned into a blessing for someone else and a reminder that I don’t have to do everything alone. Day 1 isn’t finished, but it’s already covered.
